Karen Gustafsonās fascination with nature informs her work as a drawer and painter. Inspired by her surroundings as a child in northern Minnesota, Gustafson began experimenting with various mediums to create artwork based in nature. Her current work uses a high-powered microscope to see food in a whole new way. Images of natural food and processed food serve as the subject matter for her ink drawing diptychs.
